Scannell Properties and Boeing break ground on new component operations facility in Jacksonville, FL

Scannell Properties, along with Boeing, the Jacksonville Aviation Authority, and general contractor Clayco, broke ground in March to begin development of the Boeing Component Operations Facility at Cecil Airport in Jacksonville, FL.
Boeing staff will inspect and repair airplane parts for the U.S. Navy and Air Force inside the new 150,000-square-foot facility. This site and a Boeing Maintenance Repair and Overhaul facility currently under construction at the airport is expected to create more than 300 new jobs.
Construction is expected to be completed in early 2024. This is Scannell Properties’ first project with both Boeing and the JAA.
