Project Overview

Bologna Logistic Air Park is located in the logistical heart of Italy, an area renowned for automotive, engineering and manufacturing industries. The park is adjacent to Bologna’s airport and 8 km from the city centre with access to the A1, A13, A14 and Bologna’s ring road.

This exceptional connectivity was a key factor in Widem Logistics Group’s decision to locate at Warehouse B at the park. As an international company with a focus on retail distribution and deliveries the location gave enviable access to 23.7m consumers (39% of Italian population) within 3.5 hour drive time.

Sustainability in action

Located on a brownfield site adjacent to Bologna airport, the project has been planned to ensure zero artificialisation of land will be achieved through sustainable building practices and major decontamination work. Sustainable features include rainwater harvesting, photovoltaic roofing and LED lighting on all buildings.

The buildings are surrounded 40,000 m² of public parklands with 200 trees, grassland, roller-skate park and a community centre. A 1.5 km cycle lane and buses offer staff a range of alternative ways to commute and the parking areas will all be equipped with EV charging points for 459 vans and 60 cars.
