Project overview
- Located in Bologna, the logistical heart of Italy which is renowned for automotive, engineering and manufacturing.
23.7m consumers (39% of Italian population) are located within 3.5 hour drive time. - The park is adjacent to Bologna’s airport and 8 km from the city centre. Direct access to the A1, A13, A14 and Bologna’s ring road.
- Three buildings totaling 27.696 m² are being developed: the Widem Logistics Group, an international company with a focus on retail distribution and deliveries, operates in the WHB.
Sustainability in action
- Located on a brownfield site adjacent to Bologna airport, the project has been planned to ensure zero artificialisation of land will be achieved through sustainable building practices and major decontamination work.
- Sustainable features include rainwater harvesting, photovoltaic roofing and LED lighting on all buildings.
- The buildings are surrounded 40,000 m² of public parklands with 200 trees, grassland, roller-skate park and a community centre.
- A 1.5 km cycle lane and buses offer staff a range of alternative ways to commute and the parking areas will all be equipped with EV charging points for 459 vans and 60 cars.
