Scannell Properties secures new tenant, Stellantis &You, for central Rome warehouse
Scannell Properties, the international property developer specialising in large-scale logistics developments, has let its Logistic Park Roma Centro to Stellantis &You, the retail division of Stellantis one of the world’s leading automakers and mobility providers. The building will serve as a distribution hub for the Stellantis &You sales and service network.
The 33,140 m² site sits at the centre of a well-established industrial zone and comprises warehouse and office space with a combined GLA of 10,102 m², over 300 parking spaces and a large area for easy manoeuvring of HGVs.
In line with Scannell’s commitment to developing sustainably, the building, which is situated on a brownfield site, has been awarded a BREEAM Very Good certification. Sustainable features include: provision to install 200 electric vehicle charging points, photovoltaic roofing, heat pumps, LED lighting with motion sensors, twilight sensors and a building management system to ensure optimal energy performance.
The warehouse fit-out was complex due to the provision for dedicated lithium-ION battery storage areas, which require high levels of fire protection and bespoke cooling and heating systems. The building also benefits from modern office, social areas and dedicated staff training facilities.
The Grade A logistics warehouse is located in Rome in the East quadrant on Via di Birolli, only 10 km to the city centre and with a consumer pool of 3.5 million people within a 45 minute drive-time. The site is just 2 km from Rome’s major ring road, the Grande Raccordo Anulare (GRA) and a short distance from the A24 “Strada dei Parchi” motorway, which connects Rome to Teramo and the A1.
