Scannell Properties Launches WIRED Initiative
Scannell Properties Launches WIRED Initiative to Connect and Empower Women in Real Estate Development
Scannell Properties recently hosted the inaugural gathering of WIRED (Women in Real Estate Development), a new company initiative focused on fostering connection, professional development and community among women across the organization.
The two-day inaugural event brought women from across Scannell Properties together in Indianapolis in early August for opportunities to connect with colleagues, give back to the community and participate in professional development.
As part of the event, WIRED participants packed weekend snack bags for the Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville, supporting local youth and families. The group also participated in a professional development workshop led by Tiffany Sauder, focused on empowering professional women to build sustainable, intentional lives through mindset shifts, systems, and real-life tools.
“WIRED is about creating a community where women at Scannell can connect, learn from one another and support each other’s growth,” said Angie Wethington, senior director, capital. “Our inaugural event was a great reflection of that mission, combining professional development with an opportunity to give back. We’re excited to build on this momentum and continue creating meaningful opportunities for women across Scannell.”
WIRED was established to strengthen relationships among women at Scannell Properties, encourage the exchange of ideas and experiences, and provide opportunities for learning and professional growth. As the initiative evolves, Scannell plans to expand to engage young women and girls in the community, introducing them to the various career opportunities available across the commercial real estate industry and helping them envision a future in the field. The initiative will continue with future gatherings and educational opportunities designed to foster connection, support professional development and create meaningful pathways for the next generation of women in real estate.
The inaugural event marks the beginning of an ongoing effort to build community and strengthen the network of women contributing to Scannell Properties’ continued growth.
