Scannell Properties, an international commercial real estate developer, has broken ground for the development of a 918,680-SF facility for Dollar General at the Scannell Logistics Park in Salem, OR. Dollar General will own the facility, one of nine proposed buildings within the development.

The Dollar General property, located east of Logistics Rd and north of Turner Rd SE along Mill Creek, will be a dry goods and cold storage distribution center and will include administration and dispatch offices.

This facility will serve the Pacific Northwest and bordering states. Construction is expected to be complete in June 2025.

“We’ve been expanding our developments in the Pacific Northwest for several years now, but it’s no secret, finding large units of land along the I-5 corridor is tough. That is why we are excited about Scannell Logistics Park in Salem,” said Jake Kurth, Development Manager at Scannell Properties. “Dollar General is the perfect user to kick-off the park, and we couldn’t be more thrilled for Dollar General and the City of Salem.”

In addition to Dollar General, Scannell has over 100 acres entitled with infrastructure in place to accommodate users ranging from 64,000 SF – 500,000 SF.

“Scannell Logistics Park is a great location for office warehouse, manufacturing, cold storage, and fulfillment centers.,” said Tim Elam, Managing Director, Scannell Properties. “In addition to the close proximity to I-5, Salem continues to show strong labor analytics, which is why top-tier users, like Dollar General, are attracted.”
