Scannell Properties adds Tyler Wysong to manage development in Kansas City metropolitan area
Scannell Properties, an international commercial real estate developer, has hired Tyler Wysong as development manager for its Kansas City office. Wysong will manage several large projects currently being developed and will help secure new opportunities as Scannell’s activity in the greater Kansas City market continues to expand.
Wysong brings over a decade of civil engineering experience as a professional engineer, project manager and office leader. Most recently, Wysong played an essential role in managing, marketing and expanding the local office of a national engineering planning and design firm, increasing the staff from two to over 50 in just a few years.
“It’s been exciting to track Scannell’s success in the Kansas City market over the past few years,” said Wysong. “The Kansas City market continues to see growth in industrial development opportunities, and I’m really excited to join Scannell Properties and continue to expand the office and bring on new projects.”
Scannell Properties is one of the most active industrial developers in the Kansas City market with nearly 2.5 million SF of development projects currently underway in the region. In the past few years, Scannell Properties has launched several logistics parks in the greater Kansas City market, including:
- 435 Logistics Park, the 419-acre, 3 million SF distribution center development at the former Woodlands racetrack in Kansas City, KS.
- I-35 Logistics Park in Olathe, a multi-phase industrial development that will include five buildings totaling nearly 3.5 million SF once complete.
- Compass 70, A 160-acre development in Bonner Springs, KS, that will include up to 2.2 million SF of distribution space.
- An 80-acre business park in Lee’s Summit, MO known as Lee’s Summit Commerce Center which contains 800,000 SF over 3 buildings.
