As a development manager, Matt Anderson is responsible for site selection, due diligence, acquisition, and entitlements for new development and investment opportunities. Matt manages all aspects of the development process from initial design planning through entitlement and permitting. Once projects enter into construction, Matt works with Scannell’s project management teams to ensure project timelines and overall budgets meet client’s expectations and lease requirements. He currently works on a variety of projects with a focus on industrial and office properties. With a background in general contracting and construction management, Matt has extensive experience working through initial due diligence documents, managing the design and entitlements and executing multiple projects at different phases of development. Matt brings over 10 years of experience with a variety of product types, including industrial, office, residential, higher education, multifamily, and retail. Matt received a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo and is currently pursuing his Master’s in Business Administration from UC Berkeley Haas School of Business with a focus in Real Estate and Finance.
